Maestro Jules Orchestra: professional, dedicated, flexible and creative…
After more than thirty years, the Dutch Theatre Orchestra has recently been renamed the “Maestro Jules Orchestra”. The change has inspired by the success of the concert formula “Maestro Jules Reveals”, which was created by its own artistic director Maestro Jules van Hessen. The Maestro Jules Orchestra will also participate in this successful format, in which masterpieces are first explained using musical clips and supporting images, and then, after the intermission, they are performed in full. Last winter, over 700,000 television viewers in the Netherlands experienced this unique presentation of classical music.
The orchestra was founded in 1985 on the initiative of a number of young, talented musicians, including conductor Jules van Hessen. They did not want to wait for the sparse places in the regular symphony orchestras to open up. But, above all, there was no orchestra dedicated to commissions from the business world. The orchestra consists of highly motivated professional musicians, who always enjoy challenging themselves to go one step further for the audience and the client.
